The lists of New Jersey's endangered and nongame wildlife species are maintained by the DEP&E's Division of Fish, Game and Wildlife's, Endangered and Nongame Species Program. These lists are used to determine protection and management actions necessary to insure the survival of the State's endangered and nongame wildlife. This work is made possible only through voluntary contributions received through the Wildlife Check-off on the New Jersey State Tax Form. The Wildlife Check-off is the only major funding source for the protection and management of the State's endangered and nongame wildlife resource.
