Sparta Mountain WMA Forest Stewardship PlanThe Sparta Mountain Wildlife Management Area Forest Stewardship Plan was developed by New Jersey Audubon, in partnership with the NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife. Since 2011, New Jersey Audubon has conducted successful forest stewardship projects at Sparta Mountain. These projects have occurred on both New Jersey Audubon property and in the Wildlife Management Area while partnering with the Division of Fish and Wildlife. (more…)

Northern Bobwhite Restoration InitiativeNorthern Bobwhite populations declined by 82% between 1966 and 2010, one of the most dramatic declines in the U.S. In New Jersey the species is believed to be functionally extinct with the possibility of some birds still existing in southwestern NJ. (more…)
