Each species and individual displays a unique personality. Think of the relentless determination of the shorebirds, the soaring independence of the raptors, or the colorful charm of the warblers. For bird photographer Scott Gilbert, the magic happens on those special occasions when he is able to reflect the subject's distinctive character in a way that meaningfully resonates with the viewer. An exhibition of Scott’s characterful photographs opens at the Wayrick Wildlife Art Gallery, at the Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary, on March 1, 2019 and runs until May 27, 2019. Sundays open from 12 to 4 Mondays closed

Come join our “Dirty Hands Garden Club” as we learn from Master Gardeners, Artists, and Naturalists how to create an aesthetically appropriate space for wildlife at your home or business. We will have lectures in the classroom and time in the field to learn different tricks and techniques to turn tiny stretches of terrain into premium garden space. This club will help anyone develop a green thumb and is the perfect way to grow your nature knowledge and stewardship towards our planet. $75 for members for all classes
