Join Carole on her annual visit to the northwestern forests of NJ. This is one of the best areas in NJ to find breeding birds like Cerulean Warblers, Yellow-throated Vireos, Blackburnian Warblers, Veerys, Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers and more. This a great chance to experience and learn bird song in the field. Leader: Carole Hughes $20 members/$25 non-members Meet at High Point State Park Office (HQ) parking lot on Rt. 23 just south of the park’s main entrance, which is approximately 4 miles south of Port Jervis, NY or 7 miles north of the town of Sussex, NJ.

Each species and individual displays a unique personality. Think of the relentless determination of the shorebirds, the soaring independence of the raptors, or the colorful charm of the warblers. For bird photographer Scott Gilbert, the magic happens on those special occasions when he is able to reflect the subject's distinctive character in a way that meaningfully resonates with the viewer. An exhibition of Scott’s characterful photographs opens at the Wayrick Wildlife Art Gallery, at the Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary, on March 1, 2019 and runs until May 27, 2019. Sundays open from 12 to 4 Mondays closed

Join Captain Bob and the naturalists and crew of The Osprey for close-up looks at secretive rails, nesting Ospreys, migrant shorebirds, terns, gulls, herons and more. We explore the coastal saltmarsh of Cape May from Cape Island Creek to the Wildwoods and view the natural wonders of historic Cape May Harbor. The Osprey is a 37' pontoon boat that has a comfortable enclosed cabin with large viewing windows, a front deck with a railing, and a restroom on board. Non-motorized wheelchair accessible.
