Meets at The Nature Conservancy's South Cape May Meadows Preserve parking lot on Sunset Blvd.  End your week, or start your weekend, enjoying the summer birds that nest in or visit this beautiful refuge's freshwater marsh, dunes, and beach.  No preregistration required. Led by Scott Barnes and Linda Mack Beat the weekend crowds with a weekday trip at one of the Garden State's richest breeding bird locations. Lots of nesting songbirds, raptors, and other surprises including a great chance for Ruffed Grouse, Common Raven, and Cerulean Warbler. Other birds we’ll seek out include Acadian and Alder Flycatchers, Blackburnian, Hooded, Prairie, and other warblers. Just a beautiful area to spend a day birding! Location: Meet at High Point State Park Office (HQ) parking lot on Rt. 23 just south of the park’s main entrance, which is approximately 4 miles south of Port Jervis, NY or 7 miles north of the town of Sussex, NJ. These walks are informal and informative: birds, trees, tracks, wildflowers, reptiles, and amphibians are a few of nature’s wonders waiting for us to discover. The walks are cancelled if there is heavy snow, rain, or weather warnings. FREE
