Nature Buddies Pre-K Program

Children ages 3-5 can join the Nature Buddies as we read stories and explore different nature themes. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Dress for the weather. The entire program will take place outdoors. Restrooms will be available. Wear closed-toe shoes. Preschoolers can join the fun at the Plainsboro Preserve as Miss Beth guides the Nature Buddies in stories, songs, crafts and walks in nature. Each week we will explore a different nature theme which will delight the young and the young at heart. Every child must have an adult present. Accompanying adult must register for a free ticket. All children present must purchase a ticket. To keep our group size to our determined safety limit please do not bring any guests besides those registered. NEW JERSEY AUDUBON'S PROGRAM GUIDELINES: New Jersey Audubon field trips and programs adhere to CDC guidelines; leaders have the right to ask a participant to leave the program if someone is not adhering to these guidelines for the health and safety of all. Leaders and participants must wear face coverings throughout the program and maintain social distancing (at least 6’ of separation). Leaders may remove their face covering in order to be heard by the group while maintaining social distance. Please do not come to a program if you are sick or have a sick family member. There will be no sharing of equipment including binoculars or spotting scopes. ***If you have spent time in a state that appears on New Jersey’s Travel Advisories, we request that you do not attend the program and will provide a full refund.*** COST: $10 members, $15 nonmembers. If we cancel, due to lack of participation, severe weather, or unforeseen circumstances, all participants will be notified as soon as possible and are eligible for a full refund. Participants may cancel without penalty if greater than 48 hours in advance. Sorry, no refund for cancellations less than 48 hours in advance unless due to health emergencies; however registrations can be transferred to another program in the future.

An Evening at Forsythe (Brig) NWR

June 11 @ 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Evening birding at the refuge looking for waders, late shorebirds, and marsh birds. We'll finish by listening for nightjars & owls. We’ll do a leisurely spin around the wildlife drive looking for late shorebirds, breeding species including Clapper Rail, herons, egrets, Seaside and Saltmarsh Sparrows and finish the trip by listening for Chuck-will’s-widow and Eastern Whip-poor-will. Led by Scott Barnes and Mike Mandracchia.
