Enjoy a quiet morning at the Sanctuary walking the trails with an NJ Audubon staff or Associate Naturalist. These walks are informal and informative: birds, trees, tracks, wildflowers, reptiles, and amphibians are a few of nature’s wonders waiting for us to discover. The walks are cancelled if there is snow, rain, or weather warnings. Registration required by 5:00 PM the day before the walk. You must pre-register, walk-ins will not be allowed to participate. One person per ticket. Face masks and social distancing required; please bring your own binoculars, loaner binoculars will not be available. COST: Free for members, $5 nonmembers. Raritan Bay Waterfront Park Bird Walk

The park is located directly on Raritan Bay and features beach, tidal flats, salt marsh and wooded areas. We'll explore the bay, beaches, tidal flats and marsh for a variety of waterfowl and shorebirds. We'll hope to encounter Gannets, and raptors including Bald Eagle, Peregrine, and Merlin. Led by Dave Oster, Associate Naturalist. Please bring your own binoculars, and spotting scope if desired. There will be no equipment available to borrow. COST: $15 members, $20 nonmembers. Led by Kristin Mylecraine, Yoga Teacher. Yoga is a great way to relax, connect with yourself, and increase flexibility and strength. Explore the connections between yoga and nature in this 75-minute class. No experience necessary; all levels welcome. For ages 15 years and older. Preregistration is required. Ticket sales end at 4:30 PM on the Friday before each class. You must pre-register, walk-ins will not be allowed to participate. We are offering an in-person class at the sanctuary and a virtual class online simultaneously. The in-person class has a limit of 10 people. Be sure to purchase the correct ticket. THIS CLASS WILL BE HELD OUTDOORS UNTIL OCTOBER 30. In the event of inclement weather, the in-person class attendees will be sent the link to join the virtual online class.
