All NJ counties are considered medium to low COVID-19 community levels.  New Jersey Audubon highly recommends that anyone who is not fully vaccinated, wants additional protection, or comes from a higher community level area should consider wearing a mask and social distancing, especially indoors.  Please do not come to a program if you are sick, have a sick family member or have reason to believe you may have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus

PRE-REGISTRATION MAY BE REQUIRED FOR CERTAIN PROGRAMS AND FIELD TRIPS

No walk-ins for programs that require pre-registration

Birding at one of the best places for nesting songbirds including many flycatchers, thrushes, and warblers. Great for birding by ear. Visit the extensive forests of northwestern NJ. This is one of the best areas in NJ to find breeding birds like Cerulean Warblers, Yellow-throated Vireos, Blackburnian Warblers, Veeries, Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers and more. This a great chance to experience and learn bird song in the field. Meet in the parking lot at High Point State Park Headquarters on Rt 23. Led by Carole Hughes and Chris Daly. Join Captain Bob and the crew of The Osprey for close-up looks at secretive rails, nesting Ospreys, migrant shorebirds, terns, gulls, herons and more. We explore the coastal saltmarsh of Cape May from Cape Island Creek to the Wildwoods and view the natural wonders of historic Cape May Harbor. The Osprey is a 37' pontoon boat that has a comfortable enclosed cabin with large viewing windows, a front deck with a railing, and a restroom on board. Non-motorized wheelchair accessible. Family-friendly. Preregistration is suggested.
