Morning Flight Experience
Higbee Beach Morning Flight Observation Deck NJJoin CMBO interpretive naturalists to experience and learn about the songbird morning flight that takes place during fall migration. Meets for two hours after sunrise at the observation tower on the jetty road at Higbee Beach. NO preregistration required. Fall Migration Birding
Lorrimer Sanctuary 790 Ewing Avenue, Franklin LakesGrab your binoculars and head out to Lorrimer for some beginner friendly collaborative birding! Have you ever wondered about the birds you see in your backyard? Learn basic bird ID during this beginner friendly bird walk. All skill levels are welcome. Enjoy the fall sights and sounds as we wander the trails at Lorrimer birding! Dress appropriately for the weather! We will be outdoors the entire time. Morning Walk at Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary

These walks are informal and informative: birds, trees, tracks, wildflowers, reptiles, and amphibians are a few of nature’s wonders waiting for us to discover. Sandy Hook Birding
Sandy Hook - Lot B Hartshorne Drive, Sandy HookEarly October is a great time for fall migration at Sandy Hook. We may encounter terns, waders, warblers and more. Fall birding at a “crossover time” when neotropic migrants mix with incoming raptors and sparrows. A wide variety of habitats ensures good birding at one of the state's best hotspots. Be prepared for a fair amount of walking on flat and sandy terrain. Bring lunch and dress for the weather. Led by Linda Mack, Carole Hughes, and Chris Daly. Peregrine Project Exhibit
New Jersey Audubon's Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary 11 Hardscrabble Road, BernardsvilleFor the past year, photographer Wayne Quinto Greenstone has been documenting the Peregrine Falcons that have returned to their historic nesting sites along the Palisades Cliffs, some 500 feet above the Hudson River. His extraordinary images and creative renditions will be on display at the Wayrick Wildlife Art Gallery through January 25, 2023. The Art Gallery is open 9am – 5pm Thu, Fri Sat and 12 noon – 5pm on Sunday.
