NJ Audubon: July is Amy Tan Month – Book Club
New Jersey Audubon's Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary 11 Hardscrabble Road, BernardsvilleJuly is Amy Tan month! Book Discussion. Each Thursday in July, 10:00 am - 11:30am at the Scherman Hoffman Nature Store. We will provide the coffee and the opportunity to discuss The Backyard Bird Chronicles, a book by Amy Tan. If you don't have your own copy, the book is available for purchase at Scherman Hoffman for $35.00. The book is divided by dates. Each week we will discuss a segment of the book. SCHEDULE: On July 10th, we will discuss the September 16, 2017 - May 6, 2019 chapters. On July 17th, we will discuss the May 6, 2019 - May 22, 2020 chapters. On July 24th, we will discuss the May 22, 2020- October 2021 chapters. On July 31, we will discuss the October 24, 2021- December 15, 2022 chapters. Tiny Tots – Summer Series
Toddlers can be naturalists too! Perfect for littles 18 months to 3.5 years old, join us for story time and nature activities! We welcome a new generation of budding naturalists to Lorrimer Sanctuary for this "grown-up-and-me" style program. We will read books, explore outside, and learn about nature in age-appropriate ways for littles! These programs are hands-on and will get children dirty and/or wet. Registration ends at 5 pm the day before each event! This program is best for kids 18 months to 3.5yrs. SCHEDULE: July 10th: July 17th: July 24th: Mysterious Moths July 31: SKIP August 7th: August 14th: August 21st: COST: $6 per child for members, $7 per child for nonmembers.
