Valentine’s Day Bird Walk

Grab your love bird and enjoy a Valentine's Day Bird Walk through the woods at Lake Henry at Continental Soldiers Park. Bring your love and your binoculars to this free guided bird walk! We're hoping to get your heart soaring for birdwatching as we chat about beginner techniques and look for early nesters. This program takes place entirely outside, please dress appropriately. Extra binoculars will be available to borrow. COST: FREE CANCELLATION: NJ Audubon’s programs require a minimum number of registrants to run. NJ Audubon: Count the Birds for the Great Backyard Bird Count

Join us in our Welcome Center and learn about the Great Backyard Bird Count and count the birds at our feeders with us. Join Dorothy Smullen, Teacher Naturalist, to count the birds at the bird feeding station from the comfort of the Welcome Center/Nature Store. Learn how to sign up and count birds in your own backyard to be a citizen scientist in this world-wide citizen science program established in 1998 by National Audubon Society and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. Stop in any time! We will meet in the Scherman Hoffman Nature store. Loaner binoculars will be available. Reserve your spot! NJ Audubon: Digital Photography Workshop: Landscape Photography

New Jersey Audubon's Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary 11 Hardscrabble Road, Bernardsville

Instructor: David DesRochers, Associate Naturalist This program will focus on techniques for finding and capturing unique images of the endless natural art our planet has to offer. Subjects covered include equipment, planning, composition, and capture. In addition, the program will cover photo editing techniques used to process landscape images using Adobe Camera RAW, Photoshop, and NIK Plug Ins. Students are encouraged to bring a flashdrive with two images (preferably RAW) for review and discussion. Registration required, ticket sales end on 02/13/26 at 4:00 PM.
