NJ Audubon has leased the birding privileges on this working farm where the field edges regularly attract warblers, sparrows, and other fall migrants. It's also a great place to see migrant raptors overhead.  Meets in the The Beanery parking lot on Bayshore Rd.  No preregistration required.  Cost: $6 members, $10 nonmembers. Troy Meadows

Led by Dave Oster, Associate Naturalist. Troy Meadows is a diverse freshwater marsh in Morris County. We'll look for Red-headed Woodpecker, Bald Eagle, Wood Duck, Rusty Blackbird, late migrants, and wintering species. Waterproof footwear is recommended. Cost: $10 members, $15 nonmembers. Please meet at the Algonquin gas line cut on Troy Meadows Road off S Beverwyck in Parsippany. The cut is shortly after the road turns from paved to dirt. Call 908-396-6386 for more information

Meets at the Avalon Seawatch location on the Beach between 8th and 9th St., at the north end of Avalon. Join CMBO interpretive naturalists for this outdoor workshop to witness the migration of scoters and other sea ducks, loons, cormorants and gannets. Bring binoculars, scope and tripod, if available. Hawks, Trails and Beach

Meets near the Hawkwatch Platform at the Cape May Point State Park. The afternoon hawk flight is often strong, with lower birds punctuated by late day movements of falcons. Seabirds and shorebirds often pass to rest on the beach and passerines remain to be found on the trails.  No preregistration required. Family-friendly. Cost: $6 members, $10 nonmembers.
