New Jersey Audubon field trips and programs adhere to CDC guidelines; leaders have the right to ask a participant to leave the program if someone is not adhering to these guidelines for the health and safety of all.  Leaders and participants must wear face coverings throughout the program and maintain social distancing (at least 6’ of separation). Leaders may remove their face covering in order to be heard by the group while maintaining social distance. Please do not come to a program if you are sick or have a sick family member.  There will be no sharing of equipment including binoculars or spotting scopes.

PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR ALL PROGRAMS AND FIELD TRIPS

NJ Audubon has leased the birding privileges on this working farm where the field edges regularly attract warblers, sparrows, and other fall migrants. It's also a great place to see migrant raptors overhead.  Meets in the The Beanery parking lot on Bayshore Rd.  No preregistration required.  Cost: $6 members, $10 nonmembers. Meets at the Avalon Seawatch location on the Beach between 8th and 9th St., at the north end of Avalon. Join CMBO interpretive naturalists for this outdoor workshop to witness the migration of scoters and other sea ducks, loons, cormorants and gannets. Bring binoculars, scope and tripod, if available. Hawks, Trails and Beach

Meets near the Hawkwatch Platform at the Cape May Point State Park. The afternoon hawk flight is often strong, with lower birds punctuated by late day movements of falcons. Seabirds and shorebirds often pass to rest on the beach and passerines remain to be found on the trails.  No preregistration required. Family-friendly. Cost: $6 members, $10 nonmembers.
