Monarch Festival at the Nature Center of Cape May

Join us for a celebration of these incredible insects. Learn about monarchs, their migration and their habitats. Enjoy music, food, and monarch tagging demonstrations. Make a craft to take home along with a monarch-themed souvenir from a local vendor. Discover what you can do to help protect these beautiful butterflies!  Schedule of Events: All day: Breakfast and lunch provided by Mac’s Food Truck. 10am: Butterfly yoga with itswell yoga 11am-1pm: Live music by Kearns and Donahue 12pm-4pm: Facepainting with Justine Arzio 1pm-3pm: Live music by Wesley Ochs 1:30pm: Pop-up book signing with Sylvia Baer 3:00pm: Migration parade! All are welcome to participate. Costumes encouraged! All day: Educational programs, monarch tagging demonstrations, local artists and authors, kids crafts, games and activities, bake sale!   Pre-registration is not required.

Join the Monarch Monitoring Project team and learn about the Monarch butterflies that migrate through Cape May. After the talk, watch as small tags are affixed to Monarchs to track their migration. You'll learn how you can help with Monarch conservation! NO preregistration required. Family-friendly Meeting Location: Meets at the Nature Center of Cape May, located at 1600 Delaware Ave in Cape May..
