NJ Audubon Fall Discovery Stroll at Hawk Rise Sanctuary
Led by Angus Macaulay, NJ Audubon Teacher Naturalist As autumn turns to winter join us at Hawk Rise Sanctuary. We will explore the plants and animals that make this place special and discuss how they prepare for winter. This program is appropriate for individuals of all ages. Come dressed for the weather. Apple cider will be served afterwards. Registration is required by 12/2/2022 at 4:00 PM. COST: FREE Interested in becoming a member? Winter Solstice Celebration
Join us for a bonfire, solstice spiral, guided nature walks, and intention setting as we celebrate the first day of Winter! Join us around the campfire as we celebrate the first day of winter! During this celebration, you will learn what a winter solstice is, where the wildlife goes this time of year, and about the many cultural celebrations centered around the darkest day of the year. We will be lighting our bonfire, burning our intentions for the new year, and meditating through our solstice spiral.
