New Jersey Audubon field trips and programs adhere to CDC guidelines; leaders have the right to ask a participant to leave the program if someone is not adhering to these guidelines for the health and safety of all.  Leaders and participants must wear face coverings throughout the program and maintain social distancing (at least 6’ of separation). Leaders may remove their face covering in order to be heard by the group while maintaining social distance. Please do not come to a program if you are sick or have a sick family member. People coming from other states should follow New Jersey’s Travel Advisories for COVID -19 before attending a New Jersey Audubon program including 14-day self-quarantine.  For a list of states go to covid19.nj.gov.  There will be no sharing of equipment including binoculars or spotting scopes.

Nature Buddies Terrific Trees Pre-K Program

Children ages 3-5 can join Miss Anne and the Nature Buddies as we read stories and explore different nature themes. Don't you just love fall? Who doesn't? The temperature is cooling. Animals are preparing for winter. And best of all, the leaves of the trees are just beginning to change. How many colorful leaves can you find? Join in the fun as we read a story and go explore nature looking for the most beautiful colorful leaves from the trees at the Plainsboro Preserve. Participants will also enjoy a take home craft. COST: $7 members, $10 nonmembers. NEW JERSEY AUDUBON'S PROGRAM GUIDELINES: Every child must have an adult present. Accompanying adult must register for a free ticket. All children present must purchase a ticket. To keep our group size to our determined safety limit please do not bring any guests besides those registered. Sorry, no refund for cancellations less than 24 hours in advance unless due to health emergencies; however registrations can be transferred to another program in the future. Nature Explorers After School Outside: Shelter Building

Are you tired of being inside? Let’s take the fun outside. Each of the Nature Explorers programs will get us outside and exploring nature. Have you ever wondered if you've got what it takes to survive in the wild? During this program Miss Anne will help you learn how to build a survival shelter that is water proof and wind proof. Full Moon Walk

As the sun sets and the moon rises we find a whole new world to explore. Join Miss Anne for this walk after dark at the Plainsboro Preserve. Many nocturnal animals reside at the Plainsboro Preserve. Unfortunately for the people, the gates are closed at night. Only for special events can pre-registered participants stay after dark. Under the light of the moon we will enjoy a walk along the trails to see what animals come out at night. PREREGISTRATION REQUIRED Important Information: Don't forget your Flashlight for this walk. Insect repellent is recommended. Sturdy, closed-toe shoes are required for all programs.
