Each species and individual displays a unique personality. Think of the relentless determination of the shorebirds, the soaring independence of the raptors, or the colorful charm of the warblers. For bird photographer Scott Gilbert, the magic happens on those special occasions when he is able to reflect the subject's distinctive character in a way that meaningfully resonates with the viewer. An exhibition of Scott’s characterful photographs opens at the Wayrick Wildlife Art Gallery, at the Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary, on March 1, 2019 and runs until May 27, 2019. Sundays open from 12 to 4 Mondays closed

Led by Kristin Mylecraine. Yoga is a great way to relax, connect with yourself, and increase flexibility and strength. Explore the connections between yoga and nature in this 75-minute class.  No experience necessary; all levels welcome.  For ages 15 years and older. Please arrive 10 minutes early and bring a yoga mat if you have one (some will be provided.)  This class will be held weekly from 3/2/19 to 4/6/19. Walk-ins are welcome. $12 members, $15 nonmembers.

Christine Whorton Bring a book to life by reading in a unique environment! Take a StoryWalk™ with us through Hawk Rise Sanctuary and discover this wonderful park in a whole new way. While reading the story we will make discovery stops and have some hands-on fun. This program is appropriate for children ages 2 to 6. The StoryWalk™ concept was created by Anne Ferguson and developed in cooperation with the Kellogg Hubbard Library and the Vermont Bicycle & Pedestrian Coalition. Free. Call 908.396.6386 to register. Poor Man’s Pelagic

With Karen Johnson and Janet Crawford. Take the "poor man's pelagic" across Delaware Bay aboard the Cape May-Lewes Ferry at the time of year when hundreds of Northern Gannets (up close and personal), loons, cormorants, gulls, terns and scoters concentrate in the bay. We'll travel on the 1pm ferry and return on the 2:45 boat. PHOTO I.D. WILL BE REQUIRED.  Preregistration required.  Please register early - group size is limited Cost: $30 members, $40 nonmembers (includes round trip ferry fee).
