Our resident reptiles at the Center will help teach everyone that our slithering, burrowing friends are not to be feared when we learn to respect them. AQUA TRAILS KAYAK AND PADDLEBOARD CAMP

Young enthusiasts will be introduced to the sports of sea kayaking and stand-up-paddleboarding. Experienced instructors from Aqua Trails will cover topics including safety, basic paddling, wet exit, and self and aided rescues. Tours of the harbor and wetlands are included. No paddling experience is necessary, but campers must be able to swim. All equipment is provided. Campers should bring sunscreen, water shoes, sunglasses (with retainer), a towel, a windbreaker, water, and a bathing suit. Classes are limited to 8 students. Contact 609-427-3045

Join Captain Bob and the naturalists and crew of The Osprey for a wonderful experience in Cape May's salt marsh back bays.  All the birding excitement of Cape May's harbor and back bays, but with the best of Cape May as a backdrop to provide a very special experience. The Osprey is a 37′ pontoon boat that has a comfortable enclosed cabin with large viewing windows, a front deck with a railing, and a restroom on board. Non-motorized wheelchair accessible. There’s arguably no better all-around summer birding spot in the state than Forsythe NWR. “Brig’s” combination of habitats, easy accessibility, and penchant for attracting rare species make this a perennial favorite. Expect a wide range of species from long-legged wading birds to raptors, rails, and many species of shorebirds, terns, and passerines. Each week is likely to be different as we watch the ebb and flow of summer migration. Led by Kristin Mylecraine. Yoga is a great way to relax, connect with yourself, and increase flexibility and strength. Explore the connections between yoga and nature in this 75-minute class.  No experience necessary; all levels welcome.  For ages 15 years and older. Please arrive 10 minutes early and bring a yoga mat if you have one (some will be provided.)  This class will be held weekly from 6/29/19 to 8/24/19.  There will be no class 7/6/19.  Walk-ins are welcome. To register please call 908-396-6386. Cost for all 8 classes: $88 members, $112 nonmembers. Cost per class: $12 members, $15 nonmembers.
