COVID-19 update as of March 9, 2022
All NJ counties are considered medium to low COVID-19 community levels. New Jersey Audubon highly recommends that anyone who is not fully vaccinated, wants additional protection, or comes from a higher community level area should consider wearing a mask and social distancing, especially indoors. Please do not come to a program if you are sick, have a sick family member or have reason to believe you may have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus
PRE-REGISTRATION MAY BE REQUIRED FOR CERTAIN PROGRAMS AND FIELD TRIPS
No walk-ins for programs that require pre-registration

Hatfield Swamp Birding in November

Explore varied habitats for fall migrants such as warblers and raptors to make an exciting trip! Meet at Stop & Shop, 875 Bloomfield Avenue, West Caldwell, NJ 07006 and carpool from there to different parts of this large reservation.
Footing may be wet. The majority of the Hatfield Swamp consists of forested wetlands with areas of scrub-shrub habitat and emergent wetland within the flood plain of the Passaic River. The site encompasses the Great Piece Meadows Natural Heritage Priority Site. Wintering Sharp-shinned Hawks, Long-eared Owls and Northern Saw-whet Owls are common.
PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED
COST: $10 members, $15 nonmembers.
