Island Beach State Park-NJ Young Birders Club

September 18, 2022 @ 8:45 am - 1:30 pm

Fall migration at this beautiful park; searching for a wide range of species including herons, terns, thrushes, flycatchers, sparrows and warblers. Be prepared for walking on flat terrain with some sandy and muddy spots likely. Bring binoculars, lunch, and dress for the weather. Biting insects like mosquitoes may be present, so long pants are advised. Trip is free but pre-registration is required. Led by Scott Barnes and Linda Mack.

Location: Meet in the median parking lot just OUTSIDE the entrance to Island Beach State Park at the southern end of Rt 35.

PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED

COST: FREE

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  • Wear long pants and a lightweight long-sleeved shirt
  • Insect repellant is advised
