Beat the Winter doldrums! This is a wonderful time to explore this gem of the Monmouth County Park System. The reservoir attracts many different species of wintering ducks, loons, hawks, and of course, the famous nesting Bald Eagles. Many of these species can be viewed right from the comfort of the visitor’s center, where we will meet and spend some time. We will then hike the trail around the reservoir in search of sparrows, woodpeckers and other passerines. Time and conditions permitting, we will then take a short car ride to the Chestnut Point Field in search of Bluebirds, sparrows and other hawks.
