All NJ counties are considered medium to low COVID-19 community levels.  New Jersey Audubon highly recommends that anyone who is not fully vaccinated, wants additional protection, or comes from a higher community level area should consider wearing a mask and social distancing, especially indoors.  Please do not come to a program if you are sick, have a sick family member or have reason to believe you may have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus

PRE-REGISTRATION MAY BE REQUIRED FOR CERTAIN PROGRAMS AND FIELD TRIPS

No walk-ins for programs that require pre-registration

NJ Audubon Creative Hands Club: Craft Paper From Shelf Fungi Workshop

March 12 @ 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm

The Creative Hands Club features workshops that upcycle or use natural/sustainable materials to create beautiful additions to your home or garden.

Join Teacher Naturalist Dorothy Smullen to make paper from mushrooms!  Dorothy is a past president of the New Jersey Mycological Association. In this workshop participants will be using shelf fungi samples and water to produce pieces of hand-crafted paper. Using molds and deckles and several different fungi, many colors of paper will be created for use in greeting cards, gift tags, collages, and other artwork. Bring a small plant press if you have one.

One person per ticket. Ticket sale ends 3/10 at 4:00 PM. You must pre-register, walk-ins will not be allowed to participate. One person per ticket. Limit 8.

COST: $20 members, $30 nonmembers.

CANCELLATION: NJ Audubon’s programs require a minimum number of registrants to run. If we cancel, due to lack of participation, severe weather, or unforeseen circumstances, all participants will be notified as soon as possible and are eligible for a full refund. Participants may cancel without penalty if greater than 48 hours in advance. Sorry, no refund for cancellations less than 48 hours in advance unless due to health emergencies; however registrations can be transferred to another program in the future.
