February 29 @ 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Led by Kristen Andrada
AmeriCorps NJ Watershed Ambassador
Watershed Management Area 6

The Dirty Hands Garden Club features gardening and environmental stewardship workshops. Get your hands dirty and learn how to grow native plants, save water, and make your own planter. Register for one workshop or register for all three for the discounted price of $49 members, $67 non-members for all three workshops. To receive the discounted price, you must register and pay for all three workshops by January 18. 1/25/2020: Gardening for Wildlife 2/29/2020: Make Your Own Rain Barrel 4/25/2020: Hypertufa Pot Make your own rain barrel at this workshop at a fraction of retail cost and save water at home! Did you know that during a 1 inch rainstorm 623 gallons will run off a 1000 square foot roof? Wouldn’t it be great to collect some of that water and use it to water your gardens or wash the car? Storm water can create problems with flooding, erosion, and washing pollutants into our waterways. Rain barrels are part of the solution!

All materials provided. Pre-register and pre-pay by February 15. Limit of 12 rain barrels. To register please call 908-396-6386. Cost: $30 members, $40 nonmembers.
