June 15 @ 6:30 am - 12:00 pm EDT

Led by Scott Barnes and Linda Mack

Scenery alone makes a visit to this beautiful pine and hemlock forest worth the effort, but it’s also an excellent location to see Louisiana Waterthrush, Blackburnian and Hooded Warbler, Yellow-throated Vireo, and Acadian Flycatcher among others.  We will take a moderate hike on a trail that winds along the scenic Tillman’s Brook.  If time permits, we will check out a couple nearby spots in the southern portion of Stokes. Please wear sturdy hiking boots, trails are well maintained but rocky in a couple spots.

Location: Meet at Stokes State Forest HQ off Rte 206. Address is 1 Coursen Rd, Branchville NJ 07826

Cost: $20 members/$25 non-members

Register: Plainsboro Preserve, 80 Scotts Corner Rd, Cranbury NJ 08512 Phone number 609-427-3052
