Winter Sowing Workshop
January 12 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
If you’ve ever thought about sowing seeds for your garden over the winter but weren’t sure where to start, this is the workshop for you! Did you know that many of our native plant seeds need to experience the cold to be able to germinate and bloom in the spring? Did you know you can start planting your garden in January? Join us to learn more about the process of starting your garden in winter and grow your native plant garden from seeds this season! We’ll discuss our favorite native perennials and build our own winter sowing starter kit to take home out of recycled materials.
Containers, native perennial seeds, and potting soil will be provided. Gardening gloves recommended (not provided).
COST: NJA Member $10, NJA Non-member $13
CANCELLATION: NJ Audubon’s programs require a minimum number of registrants to run. If we cancel, due to lack of participation, severe weather, or unforeseen circumstances, all participants will be notified as soon as possible and are eligible for a full refund. Participants may cancel without penalty if greater than 48 hours in advance. Sorry, no refund for cancellations less than 48 hours in advance unless due to health emergencies; however, registrations can be transferred to another program in the future.
