Overview

The Development Department plays a vital role in the philanthropic efforts of New Jersey Audubon. Working both behind the scenes and in plain sight, New Jersey Audubon’s Development staff make connections between donors and program priorities. By cultivating and stewarding relationships with both individuals and organizations, Development staff generate the essential financial support that New Jersey Audubon needs to maintain our wildlife sanctuaries and conduct critically important programs in Conservation, Advocacy, Research and Environmental Education. The Development Department works closely with Sanctuary Directors and department heads throughout the organization to advance the following “development” initiatives:

  • Individual and Family Memberships
  • Corporate and Foundation grants and sponsorships
  • Planned Giving
  • Annual Events/Campaigns: e.g. World Series of Birding & Giving Tuesday
  • Online Presence: Website & Social Media
