Ways to Give.

New Jersey Audubon Society relies on the generosity of individuals, businesses, private foundations, and other philanthropic sources to continue its mission of preserving wildlife and at-risk, natural habitats. Please consider a tax-deductible gift to help preserve the environment.

There are many ways you can donate to NJ Audubon:

You can make a cash contribution to New Jersey Audubon Society right now by using our secure, online donation form.  You can designate your gift for our environmental education, conservation, or research initiatives, or where needed most at this time.  New Jersey Audubon Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, so your gift is tax-deductible. The IRS allows you to claim charitable deductions on cash gifts for up to 50 percent of your adjusted gross income.

When you join New Jersey Audubon, you become part of a vital team helping to preserve New Jersey’s fragile and threatened environment. Members strengthen the voice with which New Jersey Audubon Society speaks out for protection wildlife and natural areas, and members enjoy special privileges too!

Gifts to New Jersey Audubon Society’s Tribute Fund are a thoughtful way to remember a friend, associate or relative. When you send a tribute gift to NJAS, an acknowledgement letter is sent to you and to the person or family of the individual recognized. Your name and the purpose of the gift will be known, but not the amount of the Gift. Call our Development Office at 908-204-8998 or send your check to:

New Jersey Audubon
9 Hardscrabble Road
Bernardsville, NJ 07924

Include a note stating: who the gift is in Honor or Memory of; if the gift is to commemorate an occasion (Birthday, Wedding, Retirement, etc.); and the name and address of the person(s) who should receive the acknowledgement letter.

Many employers today offer what is known as matching gifts programs. The idea is that when you contribute to NJAS, your company might match your gift to us with a donation of their own, usually dollar for dollar.

In addition to a cash gift, a donation of appreciated securities is another way to contribute which can often prove to be a great tax-wise method of giving.

You can give New Jersey Audubon Society a paid-up life insurance policy or designate the Society as a beneficiary on your current policy.

You can receive a fixed income for your lifetime . . . tax breaks . . . and benefits to New Jersey Audubon for generations to come.

You can leave a lasting legacy and advance New Jersey Audubon Society’s mission to preserve wildlife and natural systems through a charitable gift (also known as a bequest) in your will.

New Jersey Audubon is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, so your gift is tax-deductible.
