Above Par Birding at Cox Hall Creek – April 3, 2022

Leaders: Kathy Horn, Roger Horn, Ruth Bergstrom

Temp: 48° F

Winds:  W 5-10 mph

Weather Conditions: cloudy with occasional light rain

CHC WMA provides good habitat for migrating songbirds to re-fuel for their northward journey. Today we had a first-of-season White-eyed Vireo giving its distinctive call, along with several singing Pine Warblers, Blue-gray Gnatcatchers and Eastern Phoebes. Though most of our ducks have migrated out by now, Tree and Northern Rough-winged Swallows are hunting for insects over the pond.
