The air was clear and cool for this morning’s State Park walk. A few Purple Martins linger there though most have left for staging areas further south. Tree Swallow numbers are building since thousands of them will spend weeks here, molting, before they continue their southern migration. Most Osprey have left on the long journey to their wintering grounds, but one flew overhead, headed toward the bay to fish.
