NJ Audubon: Let’s Talk Birdhouses
Join retired teacher, wood worker, and bird watcher, Dave Pasake, to learn how different types of boxes attract different birds. Box size and shape, hole size, type of wood, floor area, placement height and habitat where the box is placed all affect the desirability of the bird box and the chances of it being used by the bird you are trying to attract. From artisan birdhouses created for non-specific residents to next boxes made specifically for certain birds like bluebirds, kestrels, wood ducks or screech owls, the purpose is the same, “... if you make it, they will come!” One person per ticket. Ticket sale ends 04/04 at 4:00 PM. COST: FREE Interested in becoming a member? Please click on the following link to learn more or join: Become a Member today!
