Spring Break at Lorrimer Sanctuary
Lorrimer Sanctuary 790 Ewing Avenue, Franklin Lakes, NJ, United StatesAn epic camp filled with thrilling activities, arts and crafts, and endless fun! Join us for an exciting Spring Break at Lorrimer Sanctuary! Get ready for a week filled with fun, adventure, and learning in the great outdoors! Fun activities include nature art, bug hunts, and more! Sessions available for kindergarten-4th grade. Please be sure to pack a lunch! This program takes place mostly outdoors and participants must dress appropriately for all weather conditions. COST: $65 each day, $250 for 4-day ticket CANCELLATION: NJ Audubon’s programs require a minimum number of registrants to run. If we cancel, due to lack of participation, severe weather, or unforeseen circumstances, all participants will be notified as soon as possible and are eligible for a full refund. Participants may cancel without penalty if greater than 48 hours in advance. Family Crafts: Hammered Floral Art

Bring the whole family for an hour of nature-based crafting! We will start the workshop by walking around the Nature Center’s trails in search of the first blooms of Spring. Then we will use our collected flowers to create a one-of-a-kind print from natural pigments! The whole family is invited to get in on the fun. Your ticket includes crafting supplies for each child. Important note: This is NOT a drop-off program. Adults must accompany children. Participation is limited. Pre-register to secure your spot. Moonlit Horseshoe Crab Walk
Featured Birds Before BeachNature Center of Cape May 1600 Delaware Avenue, Cape May, NJ, United StatesGrab your flashlights and get ready to behold an annual spring phenomenon: Horseshoe Crab spawning on the Cape May Harbor! Walk along the shoreline with a Nature Center Naturalist and learn all about Horseshoe Crab ecology and life history. Plus, help this keystone species by flipping them over while listening to the tale of Red Knots, an endangered species lovingly nicknamed the “Moon Bird”. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Children may not participate without an adult. Please bring flashlights (cell phone flashlights work too!). We may walk up to a mile, over generally level surfaces. Some surfaces may be sandy, slippery, or uneven. Please dress for the weather and wear waterproof footwear. reTURN the Favor Public Walk: Cooks Beach
FeaturedCooks Beach Middle Township, NJ, United StatesJoin us for a reTURN the Favor Walk organized by New Jersey Audubon to help rescue stranded horseshoe crabs and learn more about them along the way. This event is great for all ages. Be sure to wear shoes that can get wet, and be prepared for the conditions, including bug spray and sun protection. The weather in Cape May can differ considerably from nearby inland areas and may be warmer, colder, or windier so it’s best to be over prepared.
