Holiday Artist Marketplace Pop-Up Sale
Nature Center of Cape May 1600 Delaware Avenue, Cape May, NJ, United StatesAt our version of the famous Christmas Markets of Germany (Weihnachtmarkt), we will offer a pop-up sale featuring local Cape May artists and their original, hand-crafted wares. Affordable prices of these unique works of art will be available to participants in our wreath workshops as well as others who stop by for this outdoor “open house”. The fire pit will be roaring to fend off the chill with a hot chocolate station to warm your tummy. Proceeds go directly to support our artist friends who have been so generous to us through volunteering and providing donations to our fundraisers. Enjoy watching your budding naturalist ‘go wild’ experiencing woodland adventures. Children use all their senses to safely explore and discover the wonders of nature here at Lorrimer Sanctuary. Children are introduced to nature concepts using a combination of storytelling, exploration and arts and crafts. It is educational and fun! Best for families with children under 10. COST: $8 per child for members, $10 per child for nonmembers. Maple Sugaring

Tap a tree, collect sap, and taste test the syrup! Join a NJ Audubon naturalist for a fun look into the process behind making maple syrup! Learn how to identify a sugar maple tree, find out how maple sap (and eventually syrup) was discovered, collect sap, and practice tapping a tree yourself! COST: $10 members / $12 nonmembers IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Dress for the weather. This program is entirely outdoors. CANCELLATION: NJ Audubon’s programs require a minimum number of registrants to run.
