Maple Sugaring
Come learn all about the process of making maple syrup through a hands-on demonstration. Tap a tree, collect sap, and taste test the syrup! Join a NJ Audubon naturalist for a fun look into the process behind making maple syrup! Learn how to identify a sugar maple tree, find out how maple sap (and eventually syrup) was discovered, collect sap, and practice tapping a tree yourself! COST: $10 members / $12 nonmembers IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Dress for the weather. This program is entirely outdoors. CANCELLATION: NJ Audubon’s programs require a minimum number of registrants to run. Come for an adventure to the world of amphibians and explore our vernal ponds. Come for an adventure to the world of amphibians! We’ll explore our vernal pond with nets and buckets and listen and look for the Wood Frogs that come to the ponds to lay their eggs once a year.
