These walks are informal and informative: birds, trees, tracks, wildflowers, reptiles, and amphibians are a few of nature’s wonders waiting for us to discover. The walks are cancelled if there is snow, rain, or weather warnings. Pre-registration required. Registration required by 4:00 PM the day before the walk. COST: Free for members, $5 nonmembers. John Clyde Memorial Native Grasslands Preserve Fall Foliage and Birdwalk
John Clyde Memorial Native Grasslands Preserve 1091 Canal Rd, Princeton, NJ, United StatesLed by Chris and Paula Williams, Associate Naturalists. The trees are turning to their fall colors and birds are on their way south - a good time to see a wide variety of migrant birds. This site is one of the first grassland restoration projects NJ Audubon has implemented for Franklin Township and is now in its 18th successful year. Bring binoculars if you have them. IN-PERSON Nature Infused Yoga
New Jersey Audubon's Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary 11 Hardscrabble Road, Bernardsville, NJ, United StatesLed by Kristin Mylecraine, Yoga Teacher. Yoga is a great way to relax, connect with yourself, and increase flexibility and strength. Explore the connections between yoga and nature in this 75-minute class. No experience necessary; all levels welcome. For ages 15 years and older. Preregistration is required. Ticket sales end at 4:30 PM on the Friday before each class. You must pre-register, walk-ins will not be allowed to participate. We are offering an in-person class at the sanctuary and a virtual class online simultaneously. The in-person class has a limit of 10 people. Be sure to purchase the correct ticket. COST: $14 members, $18 nonmembers. Interested in becoming a member? Digital Photography Workshop: Photography Boot Camp

Participants will apply what they learned in Understanding Your Camera Workshop. This will be a hands-on session with cameras, with participants practicing changing camera settings, compensation for varying light conditions. We will practice composition using set ups, considering the effect of light quality and direction, distance to subject, focal length, and f/stop. NJ Audubon Hawk Watches at Scherman Hoffman Observation Deck
New Jersey Audubon's Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary 11 Hardscrabble Road, Bernardsville, NJ, United StatesJoin our Naturalist on the observation deck for a bird’s eye view of fall migration. We'll be looking for migrating raptors and any passerines passing through. Marvel at the spectacular view of Broad-winged Hawk kettles as they fly over the sanctuary, Bald Eagles, and other raptors. Hawk Watches are scheduled for Thursdays, 10/ 5, 10/12, 10/19, and 10/26 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. Loaner binoculars will be available. Note: a hawk watch day will be cancelled if there is rain, snow, or weather warnings. Registration and fee are per date. You must pre-register for each date you wish to attend. Step into the future with Scherman Hoffman

This is an opportunity to share your thoughts and ideas 1:1 or in a small group setting. Share your history, involvement, and love of the Sanctuary, give input and feedback regarding the center and get your thoughts and ideas heard.
