NJ Audubon Digital Photography Workshop 3: Digital Editing 1
New Jersey Audubon's Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary 11 Hardscrabble Road, Bernardsville, NJ, United StatesInstructors: Phil Witt and Jack Moskowitz The workshop will cover the basic RAW conversion software and essential Photoshop tools, such as levels, curves, the crop tool, and the clone stamp. The workshop will address how to clean up an image, simplifying the image and removing distractions. Participants are encouraged to email one image (preferably RAW) for editing demonstrations. Perhaps it’s their eerie calls or their mostly nocturnal habit that interests us. Join Dorothy Smullen for a power point presentation on the eight species of owls that can be seen in NJ at certain times. Find out what these top predators eat, where they nest, their calls, and the adaptations that enable them to be super hunters. Then step outside for the possibility of hooting owls. These walks are informal and informative: birds, trees, tracks, wildflowers, reptiles, and amphibians are a few of nature’s wonders waiting for us to discover. The walks are cancelled if there is snow, rain, or weather warnings. Registration required by 4:00 PM the day before the walk. You must pre-register, walk-ins will not be allowed to participate. Peregrine Project Exhibit
New Jersey Audubon's Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary 11 Hardscrabble Road, Bernardsville, NJ, United StatesFor the past year, photographer Wayne Quinto Greenstone has been documenting the Peregrine Falcons that have returned to their historic nesting sites along the Palisades Cliffs, some 500 feet above the Hudson River. His extraordinary images and creative renditions will be on display at the Wayrick Wildlife Art Gallery through January 25, 2023. The Art Gallery is open 9am – 5pm Thu, Fri Sat and 12 noon – 5pm on Sunday.
