NJ Audubon: Fall Break Fun: Outdoor Skills Adventure
Have fun and learn some outdoor skills while school is out! This 2-day outdoor program for children will include favorite wilderness skills activities from our popular Outdoor Skills summer camp. Make a natural shelter, paint a hiking stick to take home, and more! We’ll end with a campfire and a snack to cook over the fire. For children ages 10 to 15 years. Thursday and Friday, November 7 and 8, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day. Registration required at Eventbrite by November 5 at 9:00 AM. COST: $170 for 2 days Interested in becoming a member? NJ Audubon Digital Photography Workshop 3: Photographic Composition
Instructors: Phil Witt, Associate Naturalist Workshop 3 will focus on composition--that is, capturing the best image. The workshop will be organized around three nature photography principles—light, composition, and moment. You will learn how to use elements of composition such as color, depth of field, lines, patterns, perspective, shapes, space, and texture. The workshop will review examples from a variety of subject types within nature photography, ranging from birds to insects to landscapes. Participants are encouraged to bring examples of their own images on a thumb drive for in-class critique and editing. Registration required, ticket sales end on 11/22 at 4:00 PM.
