An event every week that begins at 8:45 am on Saturday, repeating until September 4, 2021

Summer is a great time for shorebirds, herons, egrets, and terns at one of the best birding spots in the state. It might be mid-summer, but bird migration is well underway beginning in July. Each week should bring different species of shorebirds as they stop to feed and rest at this productive refuge. There are usually good numbers of herons, egrets, and ibis present. Also present may be various terns and songbirds. Multiple habitats here ensure a good variety of birds. Led by Scott Barnes and associate naturalists.
