Moonlit Horseshoe Crab Walk
Grab your flashlights and get ready to behold an annual spring phenomenon: Horseshoe Crab spawning on the Cape May Harbor! Walk along the shoreline with a Nature Center Naturalist and learn all about Horseshoe Crab ecology and life history. Plus, help this keystone species by flipping them over while listening to the tale of Red Knots, an endangered species lovingly nicknamed the “Moon Bird”.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Children may not participate without an adult. Please bring flashlights (cell phone flashlights work too!). We may walk up to a mile, over generally level surfaces. Some surfaces may be sandy, slippery, or uneven. Please dress for the weather and wear waterproof footwear.
COST: $8 children, $12 adults

CANCELLATION: NJ Audubon’s CMBO programs are virtually never cancelled. If we cancel, due to lack of participation, severe weather, or unforeseen circumstances, all participants will be notified as soon as possible and are eligible for a full refund. Participants may cancel without penalty if greater than 48 hours in advance. Sorry, no refund for cancellations less than 48 hours in advance unless due to health emergencies; however, registrations can be transferred to another program in the future.
