The Fight’n Femelschlagers
The Figh’n Femelschlagers, comprised of the New Jersey Audubon Stewardship Department and friends, are an NJA ambassador team, competing statewide while raising funds that directly impact their conservation efforts on the ground. Although some of its members are farther afield, a core group camps out in Belleplain State Forest to get a jump start on owls and other night birds at midnight, then maybe a little bit of shut-eye before the amazing dawn chorus. Every dollar raised through their WSB efforts is put back into NJA’s habitat restoration and management projects throughout New Jersey. The Femelschlagers ended this year’s competition with 132 species and appreciate the support of their donors!
