Introduction
As part of the Climate Change Learning Collaboratives funded by the Department of Education, New Jersey Audubon partners with both Rutgers and Stockton Universities to provide high quality climate change education professional development for public school teachers. One way we do that is holding UnConferences, collaboratively created days where teachers learn from their peers, share expertise, and decide what they would like to learn about in peer-facilitated discussions. Teachers have held discussions on resources for teaching climate change in different content areas, using publicly available data to help high school students understand the impacts of climate change on New Jersey communities, and how to develop partnerships with local organizations.
