Intro to Nature Tech

Join Lorrimer Sanctuary for a Nature Tech Walk where we will be investigating our natural world using phone apps like iNaturalist, Seek, and Merlin to identify the birds, plants, and animals around us! Technology isn’t so bad when you can use it to better your identification skills, sharpen your nature photography, keep track of your life list, or tune your ear to special bird call. We will be focusing on iNaturalist, Seek and Merlin for this program.
This walk is intended for adults or families. Please bring either an Apple or Android device that can support application downloads.
COST: $8 member, $10 Non-member.
SCHEDULE:
- October 5th: Bird ID: Merlin
- October 12th: Plant ID: Seek, Picture This
- October 19th: Community Science: eBird, iNaturalist
CANCELLATION: NJ Audubon’s programs require a minimum number of registrants to run. If we cancel, due to lack of participation, severe weather, or unforeseen circumstances, all participants will be notified as soon as possible and are eligible for a full refund. Participants may cancel without penalty if greater than 48 hours in advance. Sorry, no refund for cancellations less than 48 hours in advance unless due to health emergencies; however, registrations can be transferred to another program in the future.
