Birds were moving fast this morning in the wind. We had a nice variety of raptors and songbirds, including one Broad-winged Hawk that landed to perch directly overhead. Warblers included Black-throated Blue, Northern Parula, American Redstart, Black-and-white, Yellow-rumped, Palm and Cape May, with really good looks at all of them. A Blue-headed Vireo appeared briefly. We also had lots of opportunities to hear Brown Thrashers doing their chips and slurred whistles along the paths.
