Above Par Birding at Cox Hall Creek – October 13, 2024

Leaders: Kathy Horn, Roger Horn, Bernie Hodgdon, Alan Crawford

Temp: 59° F

Winds:  SW 7 mph

Weather Conditions: sunny

We had very satisfying looks at a Yellow-billed Cuckoo sitting in the open this morning, not far from where we saw one briefly last week. An Osprey perched on a snag, tearing flesh off a fish it held between its talons. Yellow-rumped Warblers, not surprisingly, were the most common bird of the day and there are also a good number of sparrows, mostly Swamp and Song.
