Birding Cape May Point – December 10, 2022

Leaders: Kathy Horn, Roger Horn, Bernie Hodgdon

Temp: 30°F

Winds: NE 9 mph

Weather Conditions: sunny

With sun and a bright blue sky, everything looked beautiful today. A Red-breasted Nuthatch fed at the top of a cedar, Northern Gannets were sailing by fairly close over the bay, lots of scooters and Red-throated Loons flew past and a Red-shouldered Hawk landed atop a telephone pole nearby. A few Yellow-rumped Warblers were feeding in the cedars, ducks are abundant on all the ponds and a male Purple Finch perched briefly for us.
