Birding Cape May Point – December 3, 2022

Leaders: Kathy Horn, Roger Horn, Bernie Hodgdon

Temp: 57°F

Winds: S 9 mph

Weather Conditions: rain

There are a lot of ducks and a lot of duck species at the State Park right now. We had 13 duck species, including the relatively rare, and always a treat, Canvasback. Tundra Swans, our native swan, outnumbered the invasive Mute Swans on the ponds and we saw both Northern Gannets and scoters from the dune crossing. And neither the wind nor the rain was as bad as predicted!
