Birding Cape May Point – February 10, 2024

Leaders: Kathy Horn, Roger Horn, Bernie Hodgdon

Temp: 44°F

Winds: SE 8mph

Weather Conditions: cloudy

Diving Northern Gannets, Common and Red-throated Loons, and Surf and Black Scoters were fairly close to shore this morning.  Preening on the beach was a flock of gulls which included not only Great black-backed, Ring-billed and Herring but also a Lesser Black-backed, making for nice comparisons. A couple of Tree Swallows were flying over one of the ponds and Yellow-rumped Warblers were everywhere!
