Birding Cape May Point – July 30, 2022

Leaders: Kathy Horn, Roger Horn, Adehl Schwaderer, Bernie Hodgdon

Temp: 78° F

Winds: NW 12 mph

Weather Conditions: mostly sunny

Shorebirds are on the move now. We had 7 Solitary Sandpipers along with a few yellowlegs, Least Sandpipers and Killdeer around the ponds. Small flocks of both Glossy and White Ibis flew overhead and the rips were teeming with Laughing Gulls and terns. It’s always cool to see Brown Pelicans laboring over the water and we had a single Belted Kingfisher deep-flapping across a pond.
