Glorious autumnal weather heralded the inaugural CMBO “Birding Northwood and Beyond walk”. Happy participants were treated to a few migrant warblers plus flyover migrating hawks, eagles and falcons as well as shorebirds and a host of herons. The extra-limital Purple Gallinule that has been reported over the last couple of weeks was finally spotted near the end.
