With the Program Director and CMBO naturalists. Meets at the parking lot at the west end of New England Road. Additional parking available along New England Road. Blue Grosbeaks, Brown Thrashers, Yellow-breasted Chats, Yellow Warblers and White-eyed Vireos all arrive in April to breed here. Many spring warblers and other songbirds migrate through. These walks are informal and informative: birds, trees, tracks, wildflowers, reptiles, and amphibians are a few of nature’s wonders waiting for us to discover. Led by Scott Barnes and associate naturalists Start the weekend off early with a half day of birding at Sandy Hook. Spring is an awesome time to get out birding and each week promises to have a different array of migrants from raptors to flycatchers, warblers, and sparrows. The wide variety of habitats from maritime woods to wetlands ensures a good variety of species and ever-changing composition each week; be prepared for three hours of walking over easy terrain. A Meadows Afternoon (POSTPONED)

Meets at the Nature Conservancy's South Cape May Meadows Preserve parking lot on Sunset Blvd. Seasonally flooded ponds attract ducks and shorebirds, while beach nesters like Least Terns and American Oystercatchers will be back and busy.
