All NJ counties are considered medium to low COVID-19 community levels.  New Jersey Audubon highly recommends that anyone who is not fully vaccinated, wants additional protection, or comes from a higher community level area should consider wearing a mask and social distancing, especially indoors.  Please do not come to a program if you are sick, have a sick family member or have reason to believe you may have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus

PRE-REGISTRATION MAY BE REQUIRED FOR CERTAIN PROGRAMS AND FIELD TRIPS

No walk-ins for programs that require pre-registration

Nature at Your own Pace! Quest 3: Crazy Crawly Critters

Each Nature Quest includes a kit mailed to your child, interactive online chats with a Naturalist and at-home activities for endless fun! Crazy Crawly Critters Quest: Don’t squish that bug! Instead, let’s look a little closer. Whether exploring your yard and neighborhood, rolling a log, shaking a branch, or wading into wetlands there are fascinating critters ready to be discovered. You’ll also have the chance to meet a living fossil! Dates: August 2-6 Explore nature in your own space, at your own pace! Receive exclusive access to a virtual calendar for the week with daily nature-based activities to complete. Each activity will have step-by-step instructions or a video to guide you. An exploration kit will be mailed to your home with items to take on your adventures! Your camper will have opportunities to participate in virtual group activities, building community with other campers. Additionally, a NJA naturalist will host virtual chat sessions with campers on Monday and Friday. Continue exploring after camp week; with your own digital copy of our quest magazine, you’ll have loads of fun ideas! Cost per Quest $35 members (NJ Audubon/Cape May Bird Observatory) $60 non-members (includes an introductory family membership) Have more than one child? Walk the Cove with a local naturalist and discover the gifts the sea leaves behind at the water's edge. Explore one of the area’s ever-changing coastal habitats — the beach, ocean, and dunes of Cape May’s “The Cove” beach. We’ll search the shallows, comb the shoreline for treasures, and walk along the dunes in search of wildlife. WHERE: Meet at the flagpole near the Pavilion at the end of promenade by the Cove beach. WHEN: Wednesday mornings. 8:30 A.M.-9:30 A.M. WHO CAN JOIN?: A wonderful program for the whole family! Children may not participate without an adult. Contact us at 609.427.3045 for private group tours and rates. EQUIPMENT NEEDED: Water, sun and insect protectant. Masks required. NEW JERSEY AUDUBON'S PROGRAM GUIDELINES: Effective June 4, 2021, fully vaccinated people may attend outdoor programs without masks. If you are unvaccinated, please mask up. Please do not come to a program if you are sick, have a sick family member or have reason to believe you may have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus. CANCELLATION POLICY: NJ Audubon’s programs require a minimum number of registrants to run. If we cancel, due to lack of participation, severe weather, or unforeseen circumstances, all participants will be notified as soon as possible and are eligible for a full refund. Participants may cancel without penalty if greater than 48 hours in advance. Sorry, no refund for cancellations less than 48 hours in advance unless due to health emergencies; however registrations can be transferred to another program in the future. REGISTER HERE
