Take a journey into the frozen swamp to search for winter visitors and early spring migrants that call the heart of western Essex County home. Footing could be icy or muddy depending on the weather. We will carpool to the trail head. Led by Dave Hall, Associate Naturalist PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED COST: $10 members, $15 nonmembers. Join us as James shares his story about connecting with nature, inspired by the skies. James Falletti is a Middle School science teacher at Corpus Christi School in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ. He seamlessly incorporates Space Education and Environmental Education throughout his Curriculum and Lessons. In 2021, James was honored with both the distinguished Cherri Brinley Outstanding Educator Award at the 27th annual Space Exploration Educators Conference (SEEC) and the Patricia F. Kane Environmental Educator Award for NJ Audubon. He is also a Space Foundation’s Dr. Rochelle Abrams Space Across the Curriculum Teacher, a member of the Space Exploration Educator Crew, a Solar System Ambassador for NASA JPL, and a National Geographic Certified Educator.   Register For Free
